Film Competitions

Despite my main interest in being a creative designer, I have also dabbled in writing and directing for film outside of what was required for my major. Screenwriting was more of a hobby for me until I entered the Chicago CineYouth Film Festival’s Pitch Contest, and won.

During the pandemic it was hard to collaborate with my peers, but I was able to write a script and film it in my apartment with another filmmaker and enter it into DePaul University’s ‘Short But Sweet Pandemic Film Festival’. We were a top finalist and I was again reminded of my love for writing.
