The obligatory picture of myself while I talk about myself. (hi!)

Just like the site header states, I’m Emily Gray. Past my literal name, I’m an Art Department & Set Decoration Coordinator, and part-time designer based out of Chicago. I started my film and television journey on season one of the television series Paper Girls, out now on Amazon Prime, and the rest is a history in the making.

Coming from the small state of New Hampshire I always knew I wanted to fly the coup but didn’t really know how. I landed at DePaul University, in Chicago, studying film with no experience other than a love for movies and slight knowledge of photography. Through rigorous study in both DePaul’s film and theatre schools, it was clear from the start my calling was Production Design. To date, I have worked on four television series and one feature film. My goal on every show is to learn a little more than the last, and hopefully one day I can lead my own team in creating visual worlds for the big screen.

Recently I became an Apprentice of Chicago’s Local 476 Union as an Art Department/Set Dec Coordinator, and I am currently open to work. All the experience I have is within film, however I am willing to make a career pivot for the right job opportunity where I can apply my unique skills
